In Conversation with God
This massive seven-volume set gives you brief (five to six pages)
meditations for every day of the Church’s entire liturgical calendar,
including feast days and each of the three cycles of Ordinary Time on
Sundays. Author Francis Fernandez-Carvajal makes generous use of the
writings of the great saints as he brings you focused and moving
meditations on themes taken from the Mass readings for that day, the
liturgical season, and more. This work is rich and extensive enough to
serve as your spiritual reading for a lifetime, as it helps you relate
the particulars of the message of Christ to the ordinary circumstances
of your day. Each volume is small enough for you to carry it to
Adoration or some other suitable place for meditation. The whole set
comes with a handsome slipcase that prevents wear-and-tear on the
individual volumes.

Preparing for Adolescence, A Planning Guide for Parents
“Why don’t you trust me?” “Why do you tell me what I can’t
wear?” “Why do you always correct my manners?” If you’re hearing
those kinds of questions from your children — or if you know that
you’re going to — you need this informative guide. Educator James
Stenson explains here how you can keep your children’s adolescence
from being dominated by rebellion and conflict, and how to give your
children clear moral direction. He even includes a question-and-answer
section to help you plan for troubles before they arise.

Sowers of Peace and Joy (Video)
This video shows how hope is dawning today in desperately poor areas of
the Bronx, Uruguay, Congo, and Spain, courtesy of the educational,
social and cultural centers that Opus Dei members have set all over the
world. These centers are designed to help solve the needs of the
countries in which they’re established — in response to the
Gospel’s calls to work for charity and justice without discrimination
of race, religion or social class. The video takes you into these
centers and acquaints you with their great apostolic works. It
spotlights the words of St. Josemaría Escrivá as he explains why you
must not be content simply with earning enough for themselves and their
family, but should develop generosity of heart and a sense of
responsibility for others.

About the Holy Spirit
First published in Spanish in 1932, this 10-day devotion to the Holy
Spirit has attracted many readers to a deeper appreciation and
veneration of the "Great Unknown". The author was a poor
dressmaker who, in spite of her very limited education, testified to an
extraordinary understanding of the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit
through her habitual and silent practice of heroic virtue.
One admirer wrote that this work leads even the most learned theologian to acknowledge the healthy and profound doctrine expounded. Yet it becomes clear from reading that the book is not written by a theologian but by a soul who has first-hand experience in the school of the Divine Spirit.
